The AVGS is open to more people than you might expect. It’s available to job seekers registered with the Agentur für Arbeit or Jobcenter, whether you're unemployed, receiving benefits, returning to work, or shifting careers. Even without current benefit payments, your eligibility may still be granted based on your situation and motivation.

Applying for an AVGS may initially sound complex, but with the right preparation and partner, it’s a straightforward process. Whether you're looking for start-up coaching, career advice, or support during a transition, the AVGS gives you access to certified, fully funded programs.
Register
To be eligible, you must be registered as a jobseeker with either the Agentur für Arbeit or the Jobcenter. You can do this online or in person at your local office. If you’re already registered, you’re one step ahead.
Schedule
Schedule an appointment with your caseworker to discuss your situation and goals. Bring details about the certified coaching program or provider you’d like to work with. A clear plan shows initiative and improves your chances of approval.
Approvement
After being approved, you’ll receive an AVGS. This document includes the approved support type, duration, modules, and conditions. It is only valid with AZAV-certified providers.
